The promotion of Dhar Poultry Cluster was initiated as a result of strategic framework for development of growth oriented micro enterprises in Phase –II of the project. The framework outlined that promotion of product centric clusters may provide stimulus to growth of micro enterprises (MEs) having potential to grow as niche products would be integrated to national market. It would also ensure increased earning to the target group.
Before launch of a Phase – II, 10 product centric clusters were identified in the project districts. This cluster was selected as in phase –I, certain efforts were made for reorientation & exposures training of women as well as Men (Couple) for poultry faming as a business but activities could not be scaled up and success was marginal.
In the 1st phase more & more attention for livelihood for the poor was on Goat in the context of Livestock.in the learning project.
Under the kind Suggestion of Collector Dhar Sh. R.K.Patakji & proper direction of respected CEO Zila Panchayat Sh. Rakesh Srivastava ji & later on a workshop organized by SPMU on Cluster approach as per need & plan Dhar District has to concentrate on it through SWOT analysis

Bagh Block of Dhar district is 80 Km. far from Dhar towards Kukshi nearing boarding Jhabua Jobat Main tribe Bhil . Initially GVT had launched their programme on Watershed earlier they also started Poultry farming with Breed Giriraja-Girirani After withdraw of GVT Few poultry shade were found vacant at this time because no proper link developed with Hatchery to the Farmer .this was the entry point for MPRLP now
with the help of RO BAIF identified the vacant poultry farm & renovate through Gramsabha & prepare 4 client to start again the Poultry farm with Breed Satpuda Desi after exposure visit to Yaswant Hatchery Jalgaon all 4 person who visited to Jalgaon had also brought 2 each Birds for own pockets as trials.
this was the starting point for mprlp. In the month of May 08 two mother units started with 700 DOC , gradually shifted to Back yard poultry in the month of Aug.08 & both two persons had got benefits 8800 & 5500 also return the loan amount 2000 After successfully this term now poultry farming turned to 6 more in the month of Sept. 08 & introducing Breed Giriraja Girirani with the help of Alishan poultry Dahod .Due to Heavy leg as per tribal's market value of these birds had not got much as per earlier client decided to started satpuda again ( Satpuda desi birds supplied on door steps services by Yaswant Agritech Pvt.Ltd Jalgaon other hand Alishan poultry Dadod refused to supply to door step at dhar & also at least 5000 birds demand & a long period 30 days after booking )
Now in the month of Feb.09 the poultry units is increasing to 15 now at present 45 in all district but the main point is Bagh . Cycle of Unit in year is as follow
